As a Propulsion Technician in our Typhoon Propulsion Support Facilities team, you'll help keep the RAF Typhoon platform mission-ready by ensuring EJ200 engines and accessories are expertly maintained and fully serviceable.
Working at the forward-depth interface, you'll play a key role in delivering maintenance solutions that directly support national defence capability. What you'll do as a Propulsion Technician
You'll be entrusted to:
- Safely move all assets throughout the TPSF, including using forklifts and cranes
- Unpack and re-pack engines and line-replaceable items (LRIs) as required
- Conduct visual and boroscope inspections on engines and associated hardware
- Perform EJ200 engine repairs
- Remove, install, and repair engine modules and accessories
- Embody outstanding engineering instructions and modifications
- Complete data tasks on engine and aircraft electronic systems, including raising and recording work orders
- Maintain a tidy, well-equipped workshop using 5S principles
- Improve processes to ensure compliance with Military Aviation Authority (MAA) regulations
- Maintain competency and currency on EJ200 engines, across both practical and data processes
- Complete any additional duties as directed by the Propulsion Operations Lead or DE&S Management Team
You'll be a great fit for this role if you have:
- SC cleared or have no issues obtaining
- Experience of engine maintenance within an operational environment
- The ability to work effectively in a changing environment
- Attention to detail and a proactive, positive work ethic
- Good communication skills and the confidence to work with initiative in line with technical documentation
- IT literacy and the ability to learn new systems
