Stress Engineer - Aerospace

Ryanair is currently recruiting for a Tech Services Avionics Engineer. Based in Madrid, the successful candidate will join a team of experienced engineers to ensure the continued airworthiness of our fleet of over 500 Boeing 737-800 and A320 aircraft. Reporting to the Avionics Manager and Deputy Director of Technical Services you will create and issue engineering orders, create technical reports in support of issues (e.g. Incidents; Significant Defects) and liaise with Boeing and equipment manufactures on resolution of technical issues. The Technical Services Avionics Engineer will work within a small dedicated team and provide support in the following areas: <ul> <li>Providing a detailed review of Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives;</li> <li>Providing troubleshooting support to Maintrol; Base Maintenance and Line Maintenance;</li> <li>Creation of design modifications in support of Ryanair's Part 21 DOA;</li> <li>Support of Reliability section in the identification and resolution of repetitive failures across the fleet;</li> <li>Generation and editing of applicable operator documents (MEL; Tech Notices; Procedures Notices);</li> <li>Provide support of aircraft lease returns relating to Avionics issues;</li> </ul>Requirements At least 3 years experience working in an airline in a Tech Services or in line maintenance with strong avionics input; <ul> <li>Aeronautical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering Degree or B-2 license.</li> <li>Excellent technical knowledge primarily of the A320 aircraft and B737</li> <li>Flexible approach with project delivery being a high priority.</li> <li>Must have excellent communication skills, both in-person and by electronic means.</li> <li>Computer literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Software Programs [Word, Excel]</li> <li>Ability to work with minimal supervision in a collaborative team environment.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail in multi-tasking situations and the ability to deliver results to tight timelines.</li> </ul>

Avionics Engineer - Technical Services

Special Missions Captain (Multi-Engine Turbine) FT Permanent (Days and Nights) Prestwick Our Special Missions division delivers specialist aviation services to the UK Government and industry customers. In late 2024, we began to deliver our next generation Search and Rescue contract which will operate 24/7/365 out of Prestwick, Humberside and Newquay. We are looking for a Prestwick-based Captain to join our growing team to help us deliver this new and exciting contract. The flying will be varied and challenging, this is not your average A to B aviation job. Your duties will include the delivery of specialist surveillance tasks within the UK and neighbouring States. This exciting and rewarding role will allow the right individual to progress within 2Excel. Captains will be flying the King Air 350 with a First Officer multi-pilot, day and night shifts. Each crew will also have a Sensor Operator on board, who manages the sensors and mission equipment. To be considered for this role, successful applicants must have: <ul> <li>Class 1 medical </li> <li>UK CPL (or ATPL) with IR</li> <li>1500 + total flying hours (Including 750 PIC, 100 IR and 100 Night)</li> <li>At least 100 hours on King Air Series aircraft (or equivalent, at the discretion of the Director of Flight Operations)</li></ul>It is also desirable that the chosen candidate has the following experience: <ul> <li>Relevant experience in a similar setting (military, police, coastguard)</li> <li>Proven experience in taking a lead pilot/managerial role in a forward operating base</li> <li>A current King Air 350 type rating is highly desirable, but not essential as training will be provided*</li></ul>In addition, applicants must already have, or have the ability to obtain, UK Security Clearance and hold a valid UK Driving Licence. Special Missions Captain (Multi-Engine Turbine)

The Spacecraft Electronics Test Engineer is a member of the site hardware team, responsible for end to end delivery of the electronics and mechanical test aspects of the satellite hardware. In this role you will be responsible for qualification testing for performance verification and validation, product reliability testing and certification aspects of all satellite hardware. What You'll Do: <ul><li>Defining and executing test suites to exercise and characterise system and sub-system functionality and ensure all aspects are fully documented and tested.</li><li>Working closely with the electronics and mechanical design teams to debug any design issues.</li><li>Interface with manufacturing transfer teams to ensure successful transfer of production solutions.</li><li>Provide technical training for test procedures and equipment to production and supplier personnel.</li><li>Maintain changes and compliance of the test solution technical data packages including hardware &amp; software design, BoM and related procedures.</li><li>Use or develop competent knowledge in the required regulations applicable to the development of spacecrafts.</li><li>Experience performing pre-compliance radiated and conducted emissions testing against regulatory requirements.</li><li>Develop and execute test plans and procedures based on requirement specifications and detailed engineering design specifications and maintain traceability matrix.</li><li>Analyse and collate test results and create test reports suitable for further internal analysis and submission for regulatory bodies.</li><li>Responsible for ensuring the design complies with regulatory standards.</li><li>Engage in project meetings and effective collaboration with the hardware team.</li><li>Reporting on the progress of testing.</li><li>Be aware of project timelines and contribute to the testing aspect of the project plan with relevant tasks and estimated timescales.</li><li>Specification &amp; verification of design for test features to allow efficient production testing of new products.</li><li>Devising process improvements to the efficiency of test activities.</li></ul>Key Skills <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or similar</li><li>Knowledge of analog and mixed signal components and concepts (ADC, filtering, decoupling, bias voltage/current generation, etc.) and signal integrity on PCB (matching, reflections, etc.)</li><li>Experience with using hardware platforms (e.g. processors/ FPGA/ CPLD) and communication protocols such as CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, MIPI CSI, ETHERNET.</li><li>Working knowledge of automated test tools and scripting languages such as Python, Perl and C/C++ for lab equipment control and data analysis.</li><li>Requirement verification and validation for electro/opto/mechanical software-controlled systems.</li><li>Experience of electronic fault finding and ability to debug from the circuit diagram.</li><li>Familiar with Quality systems used to logging/recording all results.</li><li>Familiarity with test equipment such as spectrum analysers, logic analysers, network analysers, signal generators, power meters, oscilloscope etc.</li><li>Practical experience of building test systems and testing early stage prototypes and final products.</li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills</li></ul>Preferred Skills: <ul><li>Automated hardware testing is desirable.</li><li>Experience building testing infrastructure for hardware (opto-electronics and electro-mechanical sub-system) and software rigs.</li><li>Experience testing for space systems</li><li>Experience using a clean room environment</li><li>Familiarity with environmental testing facilities like Temperature/Vacuum chambers, Vibration/Shock platforms etc.</li><li>Familiarity with external test houses for EMC/ ESD testing, environmental chambers etc.</li><li>Knowledge of regulatory standards</li></ul>Spire operates a hybrid work model, and this position will require you to work a minimum of three days per week in office.
