Your Role We are looking for a skilled Thermal Engineer with experience in spacecraft thermal management at both the subsystem and satellite level. You'll work closely with a cross-functional team-including mechanical, propulsion, electronics, and mission planning-to ensure reliable thermal performance of our satellite throughout all mission phases: from launch to operation in orbit and end-of-life, with temperatures exceeding 200°C. You should be capable of delivering a thermal control system from scratch and taking full ownership of it, ensuring the success of our mission. Electric Propulsion Engineer

At NewOrbit Space, our mission is to engineer the lowest orbiting satellites on Earth to rapidly advance global connectivity and insight. We are currently building satellites that can breathe air and operate at an altitude of just 200 km - one-third that of conventional satellites. Thanks to our proprietary propulsion system we can compensate for the atmospheric drag at ultra low altitudes using the air as propellant. Please note that as we prepare for our maiden satellite mission, we are in a critical growth phase. Our roles will often require extended hours and are not typical 9-to-6 positions. Responsibilities <ul><li>Trajectory analysis: Provide comprehensive study and calculations for all phases of spacecraft operations in ultra-low orbits, from launch to mission execution to de-orbit. This includes orbit determination, maneuver planning, trajectory analysis, missed thrust analysis and attitude control.</li><li>Maneuver Planning: Design and verify satellite maneuvers that utilize air-breathing electric propulsion systems, including orbit raising and station keeping at ultra-low orbits, as well as investigating the density variation impact on the trajectory of the satellite.</li><li>Flight Dynamics Operations: Operate and maintain flight dynamics software and tools, ensuring accurate and reliable orbit and attitude calculations. Provide real-time operational support, including on-console activities during critical mission phases.</li></ul>Fundamental Requirements <ul><li>Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.</li><li>Industry Experience: 3+ years experience in satellite flight dynamics, including orbit determination, maneuver planning, and attitude control. Experience with satellite launch campaigns and operational missions is a plus.</li><li>Technical Expertise: Proficiency with flight dynamics software and tools such as GMAT, OREKIT, STK, or FreeFlyer. Satellite Flight Dynamics Engineer
