FUNDAMENTAL PURPOSE:
Export Control Coordinators ("ECCs") function as liaisons between their Strategic Business Units ("SBUs") and the Export Compliance Team ("ECT") or Regional Export Compliance Managers ("RECM"). The ECCs are responsible for implementing PPG's Export Management and Compliance Program ("EMCP") throughout their business. Once ECCs are trained by the ECT and/or RECMs, ECCs are in turn expected to train and support the members of their SBU in all matters associated with export controls.

The ECCs are responsible for implementing PPG's Export Management and Compliance Program ("EMCP") throughout their business. Once ECCs are trained by the ECT and/or RECMs, ECCs are in turn expected to train and support the members of their SBU in all matters associated with export controls.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Determining the areas of export control risk for their business or function.
- Creating and maintaining SOPs covering export compliance responsibilities for their business or function.
- Providing general awareness and functional training to the associates in their business or function.
- Maintaining an adequate level of understanding of all the export regulations applicable to their business or function (based on the geographic location of the facilities for which they are responsible) and PPG's EMCP.
- Answering daily questions that may arise regarding:
- Red flags
- Export documentation requirements
- Prohibitions covering certain end-users and end-uses
- Denied countries and parties
- Routed export transactions
- Antiboycott matters
- Deemed export
- Reviewing and approving any ambiguous screening results (denied party, end use, etc.).
- Understanding the jurisdiction and classification of the products, technology, and software ("Items") handled by their business or function.
- Gathering information and facilitating contact with technical service to obtain Item information when requested by the ECT or RECM (e.g., MSDS, tech sheets, etc.).
- Recommending and facilitating commodity jurisdiction requests when necessary.
- Developing and maintaining processes to verify that their business or function is adhering to all applicable export authorization conditions (e.g., licenses, TAAs, MLAs, etc.), including quantity and date limitations.
- Working with HR to identify any foreign nationals working in their business or function and monitoring their access to Proprietary Item Information in accordance with their facility's Technology Control Plan ("TCP").
- Understanding any changes to export regulations or to PPG's EMCP as they are communicated by the ECT, RECM and inform all personnel involved in the export process in their business or function about such changes.
- Formulating and driving necessary process and computer system changes related to the implementation of PPG's EMCP.
- Implementing appropriate recordkeeping procedures for their business or function consistent with PPG's EMCP and export regulation requirements.
- Performing periodic audits and/or self-assessments from both a procedural and transactional perspective.
- Coordinating with the ECT or RECM with respect to communications with the Government and other external third parties regarding export activity.
- Reporting any suspected or actual export control violations to the ECT or RECM; managing export compliance investigations coordinated with the ECT and the Law Department; and implementing remedial actions.
- Attending periodic meetings and refresher training organized by the ECT or RECM.
- Providing advice to the ECT and RECMs on possible revisions of PPG's EMCP.

(Functional/technical skills, knowledge & qualifications)
- 2+ years proven work experience in export coordination or a similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, international trade, or a related field.
- Certified Export Specialist (CES) and Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Export Laws and Regulations - Understanding of customs procedures international trade laws, and export compliance.
- Proficiency in Oracle, ERP systems, Power BI, and advanced Excel for data analysis.
- Detailed Oriented with a data-driven mindset.
- Strong communication at all levels of the organization.
- Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Fluent in English, French and German are a plus
