We are the UK's aviation and aerospace regulator and recognised as a world leader in its field. Our activities are diverse, enabling the aviation industry to meet the highest safety standards, and we pride ourselves on our ability to adapt to the constantly evolving aviation environment.

The Role

Airspace is vital to the UK's infrastructure. Modernising it enables access for all users, including general aviation and emerging technologies like drones, while helping reduce noise, delays, and emission supporting the UK's net zero 2050 target.

The Department for Transport (DfT) and the CAA co-sponsor the Airspace Modernisation Strategy (AMS), refreshed in 2023 to extend through 2040. The strategy focuses on integrating all airspace users, simplifying airspace design, improving regulation, and aligning with international standards.

To support this, the Airspace Modernisation Oversight (AMO) Team was established to oversee delivery, challenge industry plans, and track progress, risks, and benefits. The team also manages the AMS Portfolio, supporting internal CAA projects aligned with modernisation goals.

We are now seeking an Airspace Modernisation Oversight Associate to support these activities.
