Our Aerospace & Defence Finance Transformation team helps organisations modernise finance operating models, processes, data and technology to support long-term value, compliance and resilience. You will work on meaningful transformation programmes alongside colleagues with diverse professional and sector backgrounds.
Within Technology & Transformation, our Finance Transformation practice brings together capabilities across Business Finance & Controllership, Finance Operating Model, data and digital enablement. As an Associate Director in Finance Transformation (Aerospace & Defence), you will help shape, lead and deliver finance transformation programmes that matter to our clients.
This role sits within our Business Finance & Controllership capability, helping Aerospace & Defence clients strengthen core finance, decision support and performance management capabilities as part of wider transformation programmes.

Finance Transformation
Our clients want to achieve maximum value from digital transformation investments in Finance. That's where we come in. By taking a holistic view of performance improvement, including strategy, process design and technology enablement, we support the smooth operation of transformations.
Personal independence
Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm). - Leading and shaping finance transformation initiatives across operating model, process, data and technology, working with clients and delivery teams to achieve practical outcomes
- create practical solutions
- Supporting delivery teams to succeed through clear direction, inclusive leadership and sound governance
- Helping clients navigate change by communicating clearly, building confidence and supporting adoption
- Contributing to business development, propositions and thought leadership aligned to your strengths
- Supporting the development of colleagues through coaching, mentoring and feedback

We're interested in people who can bring a combination of the following:
Essential:
- industry or as an advisor
- Experience across finance processes, systems or data in complex or regulated environments
- Exposure to, or involvement in, finance transformation initiatives (for example operating model change, process improvement, systems or data transformation)
- Ability to work across finance, technology and business stakeholders
- Experience engaging with senior finance or business leaders
- disciplinary teams
- A recognised finance qualification (or equivalent practical experience)
- Market relationships or sector profile in Aerospace & Defence
- Experience with finance platforms or vendors (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Anaplan, BlackLine)
- Contribution to thought leadership, propositions or internal capability building
- Existing UK security clearance (SC or above)
