The role of Business Development Manager for our EMEA Aerospace Group can be based in any of our Parker Offices throughout EMEA and is a pivotal role for directing and generating business opportunities on major programs, product lines, and market segments for Parker Aerospace divisions.

In this role you will work in collaboration with internal business/operations/technical teams to promote company technologies, products, and services to meet customer needs and to determine how Parker differentiators can be leveraged to capture market share on Parker's portfolio of products.

Your responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development of proposals and contracts
  • Develops strategies and solutions for contracts opened for re-negotiation during the contract period.
  • Develops and manages business development strategic plans for international programs growth within the European customer base; developing relationships and network with key customers (internal and external) Determines the need for cross-division teaming and external strategic partner/alliances to gain business
  • Conducts competitive research, evaluates sales performance, and formulates goals and milestones for specific products and systems. Applies thorough understanding of the division's technical capabilities, operational capacity, and market information to influence future plans and strategies
  • Serves as the liaison and facilitator with customers, other divisions, and Regional/Group Marketing to resolve issues and assure customer satisfaction with regard to cost, product quality, delivery, and performance. Provides the customer with liaison support within and across divisions on existing and new programs. Stays in close contact with division technology and operations teams to enable rapid turnaround solutions.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with customers to gain knowledge of future market and customer needs and further develop business opportunities.
  • Develops "go to market" and business capture strategies. Studies competitors' products, problems, market intelligence, and identifying trends. Business capture strategies based on knowledge of the competitive market and Parker's product and service differentiators

    Who we are looking for:
  • The successful candidate will hold a degree ideally in Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
  • You will have several years' experience selling MRO (component repair) services to commercial airlines and manufacturers
  • You will be able to perform the essential functions of the job acquired through experience in the aerospace industry, direct aerospace marketing experience and possess well-established customer contacts.
