The Role

We are currently looking for a Chief Training Captain responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of rotary wing pilot training within the company. This role ensures that all training programs meet regulatory requirements and company standards, and that pilots are proficient and safe in their operations:

1- Training Program Management: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive training programs for rotary wing pilots, including initial, recurrent, and advanced training.

2- Compliance: Ensure all training programs comply with relevant aviation regulations and standards, including those set by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and other regulatory bodies.

3- Instructor Oversight: Supervise and evaluate flight instructors, ensuring they meet company standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct proficiency checks and provide ongoing training and development.

4- Safety: Promote a culture of safety within the training department. Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to mitigate risks.

5- Curriculum Development: Design and update training curricula to reflect current best practices and technological advancements in rotary wing operations.

6- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records for all pilots and instructors. Ensure documentation meets regulatory requirements.

7- Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact with regulatory authorities for all training-related matters. Coordinate with the Chief Pilot and Safety Manager on training and safety issues.

8- Operational Support: Assist in flight operations as needed, including conducting flights and providing operational expertise.

About you
• Valid CPL-H, TRI, TRE, (Type rating H145 & EC135 highly desirable),
• Minimum 5 years as a TRE/TRI,
• Depth knowledge of the UK CAA,
• Ability to develop & implement training programs,
• Proficient in risk management & protocol,
• Strong leadership and communication skills,
• Excellent time management.
