Contracts Manager - Aviation ¦ Civil Engineering

Overview

AmcoGiffen is seeking an experienced Aviation Contracts Manager to oversee the framework project portfolio at Manchester Airport. This role is pivotal to the success of our Aviation business unit, which is engaged in various key frameworks and schemes across UK airports. The successful candidate will ensure the safe and efficient delivery of construction operations while adhering to client requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety Leadership: Demonstrate exemplary health and safety behaviour and leadership in compliance with HSRS 004.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple contracts, prioritise critical business objectives, and support project teams.
  • Client Liaison: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Operational Management: Ensure site teams are equipped and informed to achieve contract objectives.
  • Commercial Performance: Collaborate with the commercial team to monitor contract performance, payments, and project forecasts.
  • Site Engagement: Conduct regular site inspections and engagements involving subcontractors and direct employees.
  • Contract Close-Out: Oversee the completion of all contractual deliverables to meet client satisfaction.
  • Business Development: Identify and progress business opportunities in conjunction with the Business Development team.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and adopt best practices.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven track record in project management on airside civil engineering projects, specifically in aviation and airfield works.
  • Education: Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering.
  • Specific Knowledge: Understanding of Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL) and related projects.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to obtain an Airside pass and secure a clean 5-year history.
  • Driving License: A valid UK driving license is essential.
