Are you a customer-focused individual with excellent people skills and previous inside sales support experience? Solar Atmospheres of San Diego is seeking an Inside Sales Representative who enjoys supporting an outside sales team that is finding right-fit customers in need of a trusted heat treating partner. 95% of our business supports the Aerospace, Power Generation, and Medical Industries, all of which make parts that need to be heat-treated for durability purposes... which is where we come in!

This role will work Monday-Friday, 7 am to 4:00 pm at our San Diego, CA location.

What you'll do

As an Inside Sales Rep at Solar Atmospheres, you'll work alongside our outside sales team, being their admin support and working with customers, so they can focus on being out on the road and bringing in new business.

Day to day, you'll play a vital role in the customer quoting process while also doing the following:
  • Field customer inquiries, assess feasibility, and gather information and production requirements
  • Build genuine relationships with new and existing customers, providing consistent world-class service
  • Provide accurate and timely quotes to customers and professionally field questions on quotes, billing, and other requests
  • Review customer orders and pricing, send contracts, and investigate any discrepancies and/or inconsistencies
  • Utilize CRM and ERP systems to accurately and efficiently create/manage shop orders
  • Communicate with and provide updates to customers about delivery information, including delays
  • Working with Quality Assurance, managing new and existing heat treatment process cycles
What you need to thrive in this role
  • 3+ years of Inside Sales in a Metal Service Center or Aerospace environment.
  • General knowledge of aerospace metals, metallurgy, and heat treatment preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and complete tasks with little supervision
  • Reliable, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
