Job Description

As a Project Leader, you will join our Bristol team to support our activities within the Aerospace sector.

Context

You will lead the delivery of strategic engineering activities within a complex aerospace programme environment. Acting as the focal point for project execution, you will define and manage the roadmap, ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery while coordinating cross-functional stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, finance, customer support, and R&T.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and deliver engineering projects in line with technical, schedule, and budget objectives
  • Define and manage the project roadmap, milestones, risks, and resource planning
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to ensure programme alignment
  • Work closely with Chief Engineers and programme leadership to maintain technical continuity
  • Monitor and control project budgets and performance metrics
  • Provide structured reporting on progress, risks, and mitigation plans
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation within engineering activities
Qualifications

Required Skills:
  • Proven experience leading aerospace engineering projects
  • Strong knowledge of structured project delivery methodologies
  • Experience managing schedules, budgets, and stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to operate effectively in a regulated, safety-critical environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience working across multi-disciplinary engineering teams
Required Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex aerospace programmes
  • Experience within structured engineering lifecycle environments
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience within landing systems, structural systems, or aircraft systems programmes
  • Background in R&T or innovation-driven projects
  • Familiarity with ATI-funded or government-backed aerospace programmes
