Job Description

This role will oversee the implementation of the overall airline engagement strategy and manage existing governance and interactions.

The Senior Aviation Engagement Manager works with the Head of Aviation - Airline Partnerships & Engagement to create, implement and monitor the plan and processes that allow the wider Aviation team to achieve the business growth targets, as well as orchestrating the Pan-Heathrow engagement with airlines, ensuring communication is efficiently delivered and aligned with Heathrow's Strategic business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Support Head of Aviation - Airline Partnerships & Engagement in streamlining cross-organisational airline engagement in service of delivering Heathrow's overall business strategy.
  • Own mapping of Heathrow airline governance to facilitate critical review and standardise Governance Forums.
  • Work with Partnership, Revenue, Strategy, Network and Cargo teams within Aviation in support of planning and implementing a robust, regular & transparent reporting of progress, as well as governance and consultation reform.
  • Create and manage communication plans (i.e. lines to take, advisory comms, status updates, Aviation News etc.)
  • Develop strong relationships with senior internal stakeholders.
  • Lead on the development and delivery of airline conferences, events and activities to defined outcomes utilising skills and experience across the organisation.
Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a target-driven framework.
  • Strong planning and (visual and oral) communication skills.
  • Experience of successfully managing a range of internal and external stakeholders, cross-organisational working and the ability to communicate effectively and influence at all levels.
  • Strong capability in managing upwards and across the organisation, working effectively with senior leaders and external partners to drive alignment and outcomes
  • Understanding of airline business models - their drivers and challenges
  • Understanding of the regulatory model (desirable)

Working Location

Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow. Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You'll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
