Job Description
WSP is seeking a Student Coordinator, Aviation to join our Transportation Systems team located at our Toronto(25 York Street) and Mississauga(5925 Airport Road) offices. Reporting to the Senior Director, Aviation, the Student Coordinator assists the project team by supporting the execution of project activities within the engineering and planning fields.
As a member of the Aviation team, you will be given opportunities to apply your education on large, complex projects. You will be challenged to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a very high standard of care. You will gain knowledge through mentorship and skills development, fast-tracking your professional development to becoming a strong Project Coordinator in the transportation consulting field.

Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participating in aviation engineering and planning assignments in a team environment;
- Preparing and interpreting aviation studies;
- Researching aviation regulations and standards and applying them to projects;
- Preparing presentation materials;
- Executing airport engineering designs;
- Assisting with preparing drawings in CAD software;
- Writing aviation-related reports for clients;
- Report preparation and drafting of correspondence;
QUALIFICATIONS
- Enrolled in a university or college Co-op Civil or Electrical Engineering, Planning or Aviation program;
- Experience in the use of AutoCAD and/or the ArcGIS suite of software considered an asset;
- An understanding of TP312 and the Canadian Aviation Regulations is considered an asset;
- Have the desire to learn with a good work ethic;
- Excellent problem-solving abilities;
- Team player with a flexible attitude and the ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple deadlines;
- Excellent business and technical writing skills
- Good written and verbal communications skills;
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with handling drawings and technical documents and project management practices;
- Able to travel to and work in multiple office locations within the Greater Toronto area.
