Teachers - International Summer School - STEAM / Aerospace

Location: St-Thomas High School

Session: July 6th- July 24th (approximately 60 hours total, 6.5 hours per day)

Language Across Continents (LAC), authorized by the Lester B. Pearson School Board, is offering an international summer school program and is seeking a dynamic candidate for part-time teaching.

Salary: The hourly wage is $50 with a T4A slip.

Education Background and Assets:

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for Science, Aerospace, or STEAM (no need to be an expert!)
• Ability to lead fun, interactive learning with students
• Experience working with international learners is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Guide students through hands-on STEAM activities exploring the world of aerospace-from rockets to satellites and beyond-with a group of 20 international high school students.
• Follow the provided curriculum.
• Accompany students on afternoon industry visits, supporting and extending their learning beyond the classroom.
• Maximize daily instruction by creating a dynamic, interactive learning environment.
• Be available for opening and closing ceremonies.
• Work with administration to adapt to the evolving needs of the summer camp program.
• Value and respect students, colleagues and administration
