As a talented Component Principal Engineer you will lead the team responsible for the technical specification, selection, qualification, and integration of the bought propulsion components to ensure optimal performance and reliability for our Nyx capsule. Key responsibilities: <ul><li>Setup, lead and grow the Nyx propulsion component team.</li></ul><ul><li>Working hand in hand with propulsion and systems engineers to identify, source, and procure propulsion components such as valves, pressure regulators, tanks, and actuators for the spacecraft propulsion systems.</li></ul><ul><li>Leading the technical evaluation and selection of suppliers, ensuring components meet mission-specific requirements and industry standards.</li></ul><ul><li>Developing and maintaining technical specifications, procurement documents, and component qualification plans for purchased propulsion components.</li></ul><ul><li>Overseeing supplier development and qualification processes, including design reviews, manufacturing audits, and inspection procedures.</li></ul><ul><li>Managing risk assessments and mitigation strategies to address technical, schedule, and supply chain risks associated with purchased propulsion components.</li></ul><ul><li>Supporting integration teams in the assembly and testing of propulsion systems, ensuring seamless integration of purchased components into spacecraft designs.</li></ul><ul><li>Troubleshooting component-related issues during development, testing, and flight operations, and driving corrective actions as necessary.</li></ul><ul><li>Generating detailed documentation, including interface control documents (ICDs), technical evaluation reports, and qualification test reports.</li></ul>What we would love to see from you: <ul><li>Minimum of a B.S. in Aerospace (Advanced degree preferred).</li></ul><ul><li>Over 7 years of experience in propulsion space systems.</li></ul><ul><li>Strong technical expertise in propulsion system components, including fluid control devices, high-pressure and propellant tanks, and structural materials.</li></ul><ul><li>Proven ability to manage supplier relationships, including overseeing manufacturing processes, audits, and inspections to ensure quality compliance.</li></ul><ul><li>Familiarity with spacecraft propulsion and fluid systems standards, such as ECSS, NASA, or ISO guidelines.</li></ul><ul><li>Familiarity with CAD software (preferably NX/TeamCenter) for reviewing component designs and system integration.</li></ul><ul><li>Hands-on experience with component qualification testing, such as pressure cycling, flow performance, thermal vacuum, and vibration tests.</li></ul><ul><li>Excellent problem-solving and risk management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul><ul><li>Fluency in English.</li></ul>Why you should join us! Propulsion Components Principal Engineer (Procurement)

The heart of a spacecraft lies in its propulsion system, and that's why we, at The Exploration Company, are dedicated to developing our own cutting-edge Propulsion Systems ensuring the highest level of efficiency and reliability in our space endeavours. We want you as a talented PQM Test Bench Software Development Engineer to help us in our mission by leading the design and development of the control system software for our PQM test bench. In your capacity as a PQM Test Bench Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for developing the detailed and modular software architecture for the PQM test bench (in collaboration with TEC's Propulsion and AIT teams and subcontractors) and supporting testing activities at the PQM test site. You will report to the Propulsion System Principal Test Engineer. Key responsibilities: <ul><li>Collaborating closely with TEC's Propulsion and AIT teams and subcontractors to understand the application's architecture, features, and requirements.</li><li>Selecting communication protocol between LabVIEW software and control system hardware to ensure real-time data acquisition with low latency.</li><li>Building, validating and deploying LabVIEW (VIs and SubVIs) applications to communicate and interact with different control systems hardware (e.g., DAQ, PLC) and display data effectively.</li><li>Contributing to the development of the control system's hardware and software architecture.</li><li>Programming highly robust, modular and reusable code libraries and working on integrating automated tests into the continuous integration/continuous deployment pipeline to ensure that every code change is thoroughly tested before deployment.</li><li>Working with engineers on test system specifications and undertake software reviews.</li><li>Collaborating with the test bench and propulsion team to prioritize and address any issues found during testing, providing detailed reports and analysis to help diagnose and fix bugs efficiently.</li></ul>What we would love to see from you: <ul><li>Minimum B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>Over 3 years of experience in software development for control systems, data acquisition, or test bench operations.</li><li>Experience with software development in LabVIEW (LabVIEW certifications are a plus).</li><li>Familiarity with data acquisition systems, and communicating protocols with instrumentation.</li><li>Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C/C++.</li><li>Previous experience in testing complex software systems.</li><li>Hands-on experience with diagnosing electrical and electronic issues using common test and measurement equipment.</li><li>Reading and understanding wiring/circuit diagrams is an asset.</li><li>Experience in the aerospace or automation industry is an asset.</li><li>Fluency in English.</li></ul>Why you should join us! Propulsion Qualification Model (PQM) Test Bench Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and talented Principal Propulsion System Models Engineer, to lead the development, testing, and qualification of propulsion systems for our Nyx Earth, our cutting-edge orbital vehicle for cargo transportation to and from the ISS. This is a key leadership role that requires technical expertise in spacecraft propulsion systems, a strong track record in managing complex engineering projects, and proven experience in leading and mentoring teams. As the Propulsion Development Models Principal Engineer, you will oversee the design, development and building and contribute to the operation of the Propulsion Qualification Model and the Hydraulic Models, ensuring that we can qualify our propulsion system via these models.
