Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run. We want you as a talented and experienced Avionics, Communications and Power Engineer to help us in our mission by acting as system engineer for Future Projects that prepare the future growth of the Nyx vehicles family and new products. You will be part of the Future Systems team, reporting to the Principal Engineer of the project and working closely with the other engineering disciplines. Key Responsibilities In your capacity as Future Projects Avionics, Communications and Power Engineer, your role will continuously evolve, but initially your day-to-day duties will include: <ul><li>Take ownership of work packages or full future projects related to Avionics, Communications and Power: <ul><li>Define functional breakdowns, high level requirements and their associated flow-down and manage / maintain the technical baselines to ensure that the design answers the needs of the respective project</li><li>Provide system architectures and conceptual designs, perform technical trade-offs, budget and performance calculations</li><li>Provide development logic, implementation, verification and validation plans</li></ul></li><li>Ensure the delivery on time, on quality and on cost of the work packages in your responsibility</li><li>In coordination with the Bid Manager, elaborate the technical and programmatic parts for Avionics, Communications and Power related work packages to submit winning proposals for new future projects</li></ul>What we would love to see from you In the role as Future Projects Avionics, Communications and Power Engineer ideally, you will have the following: <ul><li>Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Aerospace Engineering, or another related field.</li><li>Work experience / participation in the ideation, conceptualization and preliminary design phase of a spacecraft or space system development project</li><li>Broad understanding of the full functional chain of space-based avionics, communications and power systems</li><li>Strong systems engineering background</li><li>Hands-on experience with assembly, integration and testing of electrical units for space applications</li></ul>Skills and Behaviours <ul><li>Strong oral and written communication skills</li><li>Strong analysis and problem-solving skills</li><li>Strong organizing and prioritization of tasks</li><li>Positive and flexible attitude to get the job done</li><li>Ability to communicate at all levels of the business</li><li>Demonstrates behaviours consistent with The Exploration Company's core values of Mission, Vision, Integrity, Excellence and Teamwork</li><li>Space enthusiast: ready to change the European space industry</li></ul>Why you should join us! Future Projects Avionics, Communications and Power Engineer

As we are working on the detailed design of our Nyx Earth version, which will dock to the space stations around the Earth, we are currently seeking a Scrum Master &amp; Scheduler for Propulsion to support the execution of the Low Earth Orbit Missions. We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative Scheduler to support the Propulsion subsystem lead in managing the schedule, risks, and agile implementation across the team. You will serve as the interface between the Propulsion technical team and the Program team, ensuring alignment of priorities, transparency of progress, and continuous improvement of planning methodologies. You will report to the Propulsion subsystem lead and work closely with the Program Management Officer as well as the broader Program team. Key responsibilities: <ul><li>Build and maintain a detailed schedule for the Propulsion subsystem.</li><li>Track progress against milestones and identify potential delays or risks.</li><li>Facilitate scrum ceremonies and promote agile best practices.</li><li>Act as the primary scheduling interface between Propulsion and the Program team.</li><li>Provide regular updates on schedule status, risks, and mitigation plans.</li><li>Maintain comprehensive documentation of deliverables and progress.</li></ul>What we would love to see from you: <ul><li>Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Propulsion Systems, or a related field.</li><li>3+ years of experience in project scheduling or project management in aerospace or complex engineering environments.</li><li>Proven experience working with rocket engines, thrusters, or propulsion subsystems.</li><li>Strong technical understanding of propulsion systems and development cycles.</li><li>Demonstrated experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) in technical teams.</li><li>Proficiency in scheduling tools such as MS Project or Monday.</li><li>Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to identify and mitigate risks in a fast-paced development environment.</li><li>Fluency in English (French and/or German is a plus).</li></ul>Why you should join us! Scheduler & Scrum Master - Propulsion

We are seeking an experienced Propulsion Units Development &amp; Procurement Principal Engineer to lead the development and strategic procurement of propulsion units. This role blends deep technical expertise with leadership and supplier management. You will be responsible for the design, qualification, and delivery of critical propulsion units while managing a small, agile team. You'll be instrumental in ensuring that Nyx Earth meets its performance, schedule, and cost objectives. You will report to the Lead Propulsion. Key responsibilities: <ul><li>Drive the make/buy strategy and decision for the propulsion units, elaborate and implement the roadmaps for the propulsion units developed in-house.</li><li>Lead in-house design and development of propulsion units (e.g. tanks, valves) from concept to flight readiness, fostering agile development through design-build-test iteration cycles, while meeting technical, cost and schedule requirements aligned with project goals.</li><li>Oversee procurement strategy for propulsion units, including suppliers' identification, selection, and performance management. Manage suppliers' relationships, support contract negotiations, and monitor compliance with technical and quality standards, cost and schedule.</li><li>Build and lead a team of propulsion engineers for the propulsion units we will develop in-house, or we will procure. Promote and develop the skills and capabilities of your team members through mentorship, professional development opportunities and performance reviews.</li><li>Collaborate with the Nyx Earth propulsion system team and with other teams and departments such as avionics, GNC, vehicle design, MAIT and systems engineering to ensure seamless integration and testing of the propulsion units within the propulsion system and with other spacecraft systems.</li><li>Develop project schedules, resource plans, and budgets while maintaining consistency with timelines and cost constraints.</li><li>Manage risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address technical, cost and schedule challenges.</li><li>Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and performance enhancements. Stay up to date with advancements in propulsion technologies and drive innovation within the team.</li></ul>What we would love to see from you: <ul><li>A minimum of a master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline.</li><li>Over 8 years of experience in storable propulsion systems engineering, propulsion units development and procurement in aerospace or spaceflight.</li><li>Proven hands-on experience developing propulsion, such as tanks, thrusters, and valves.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage suppliers, contracts, and delivery timelines.</li><li>Experience leading technical projects or small engineering teams.</li><li>Strong understanding of aerospace materials, manufacturing, and testing practices.</li><li>Experience in New Space companies or fast-paced development environments (Desirable).</li><li>Familiarity with propulsion test operations and data analysis (Desirable).</li><li>Knowledge of ECSS or NASA equivalent aerospace standards (Desirable).</li><li>Fluency in English.</li></ul>Why you should join us!
