This role sits within TEKEVER Defence's growing Defence Operations function, responsible for supporting our customers through active deployments across the world. Job Overview: As a Remote Pilot you will play a critical role in the delivery of missions through monitoring flight operations, mitigating hazards performing real-time interventions and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. You will be a team player, capable of operating within complex and challenging environments. You will drive improvement in TEKEVER products through continuous feedback on performance and limitations, and be passionate about solving problems to deliver excellence for our customers. You will be expected to travel frequently to customer locations in the UK, Portugal, US and Europe. You will be required to work for a minimum of 3 days a week in South West England when not on active deployment. What will be your responsibilities: <ul> <li>Supporting the RPIC in the delivery of UAS operations to ensure safe and compliant flights</li> <li>Ensure operations comply with necessary regulations and maintain detailed records of flights, incidents and safety assessments</li> <li>Enforce adherence to company safety protocols and best practice</li> <li>Assist UAS operators with flight planning, pre-flight inspections and post flight debriefings</li> <li>Provide emergency response guidance in the event of system failures or unexpected hazards</li> <li>Train and mentor UAS operators on best practice and risk mitigation strategies</li> <li>Maintaining your own currency and competency on specified TEKEVER platforms</li> </ul>Profile and requirements: <ul> <li>Aviation knowledge including Ground School and live flying on any type of aircraft</li> <li>Understanding of MET and Airspace</li> <li>A1 and A3 certificates (CAA/EASA)</li> <li>Good level of maths and physics</li> <li>Pilot License (LAPL/PPL/HPL...etc)</li> <li>A2 Certificate of Competence</li> <li>Engineering License</li> <li>MALE/HALE UAS Platform Certified (H900/H450/WK/MQ)</li> <li>MUAS Certified (Puma/DH3/Raven/Stalker)</li> <li>Flight Radiotelephony Operating License</li> <li>Flown MUAS/MALE platforms</li> <li>Military flying, instructional duties, overseas operational flying experience</li> <li>Must be eligible to hold SC clearance and willing to undergo the vetting process.</li> <li>Work authorisation in the UK is required.</li> </ul>What we have to offer you: <ul> <li>An excellent work environment and an opportunity to make a difference;</li> <li>Salary Compatible with the level of proven experience.</li> <li>Company pension contribution match up to 10%</li> <li>Medical Insurance</li> <li>Performance bonus tied to organisational and personal performance</li> </ul>Do you want to know more about us ? What will be your responsibilities: <ul> <li>Perform UAV system modifications, hardware integrations, and troubleshooting</li> <li>Conduct installations and maintenance of UAVs at various client locations</li> <li>Work closely with engineers to ensure seamless integration of new systems and technologies</li> <li>Support the development of training materials and deliver training to clients in both benign and hostile environments</li> <li>Provide technical support and solutions in both on-site and remote locations</li> </ul>Profile and requirements: <ul> <li>Experience in UAV systems, avionics, electronics, or mechanical engineering</li> <li>Proven technical knowledge and hands-on experience with UAV modifications and integrations</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in teams</li> <li>Ability to work in diverse environments, including remote or hostile conditions</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients and technical teams</li> <li>Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages (e.g., Portuguese) is an advantage</li> <li>A1 and A3 certificates (CAA/EASA)</li> <li>Good level of maths and physics</li> <li>Technical degree or certification in UAV systems, electronics, avionics, or related field</li> <li>Experience in field service or technical support roles, ideally in aerospace or similar industries</li> <li>Relevant certifications in UAV operation and safety are desirable</li> <li>Military or aviation experience is a plus, but not required</li> <li>Must be eligible to hold SC clearance and willing to undergo the vetting process.</li> <li>Work authorisation in the UK is required.</li> </ul>What we have to offer you: <ul> <li>An excellent work environment and an opportunity to make a difference;</li> <li>Salary Compatible with the level of proven experience.</li> <li>Company pension contribution match up to 10%</li> <li>Medical Insurance</li> <li>Performance bonus tied to organisational and personal performance</li> </ul>Do you want to know more about us ?
