JOB OVERVIEW Do you have at least 2 years of work experience in aviation? Do you enjoy troubleshooting and coordinating? The qualified individual will be responsible for providing engineering support to maintenance as required for disposition of snags and supporting customers for the resolution of issues pertaining to design data interpretation and aircraft specific deviations. The incumbent will be familiar with engineering and regulatory procedures and processes for aircraft electrical and avionics systems. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <ul><li>Be the focal point and respond to requests from maintenance, fleet and customers for technical assistance related to aircraft avionics and electrical systems,</li><li>Provide engineering support as required for disposition of discrepant conditions affecting aircraft or components in order to restore serviceable status, including assisting with interpretation of the manufacturer's repair manuals, drawings and other repair instructions,</li><li>Responds to requests from maintenance when technical assistance is required to support projects or resolve problems,</li><li>Research and develop proposals to address issues related to aircraft avionics and electrical systems found during maintenance or modification,</li><li>Liaise with aircraft OEMs, equipment vendors, STC holders and other stakeholders for troubleshooting and the resolution of aircraft discrepancies,</li><li>Participate in the coordination and monitoring of engineering activities including the coordination of internal resources and external engineering service providers in the execution of design change projects for customers. This includes but is not limited to setup of project files, configuration control, progress tracking, change management etc.</li></ul><ul><li>In support of the cargo fleet: investigating required modifications to induct new aircraft into our cargo operations,</li></ul><ul><li>In support of the leasing fleet: developing Electrical Load Analyses and other engineering deliverables,</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>REQUIREMENTS <ul><li>Degree in Electrical or Avionics Engineering with 2-5 years of relevant experience OR a minimum of 10 years relevant experience </li><li>Experience providing engineering support for hanger aircraft and live aircraft operations.</li><li>Familiarity with design philosophy of avionics and electrical systems for Boeing or Airbus commercial aircraft preferred</li><li>Should have the ability to analyze incomplete information and implement timely decision making while mitigating risk factors</li><li>Willing to work extra hours when required to resolve AOG issues</li><li>Willing to travel as required to support the various KF bases and customers</li><li>Able to work independently in an office environment</li><li>Experience with MS Office necessary </li><li>AutoCAD experience considered an asset</li></ul>BENEFITS Full-Time staff benefits include (but are not limited to): <ul><li>Health and Dental</li><li>Short &amp; Long-Term Disability</li><li>Life Insurance</li><li>Health Spending Account</li><li>Personal (Wellness) Spending Account</li><li>Paid vacation and Personal time off</li><li>The opportunity to bank overtime</li><li>Pension matching plan and voluntary RRSP</li><li>Employee &amp; Family Assistance Program</li><li>Free financial advice</li><li>A bonus program based on organizational performance</li></ul>SALARY The salary range for this role is $77,500-$91,500 annually for those candidates with 2-5 years of relevant experience (higher for those with more experience).
