As part of the LUH-SAR (Light Utility Helicopter Search and Rescue) contract, you will ensure that the helicopters responsible for saving lives are always ready for departure. Aufgaben The Mission: Keep the Lifesavers Airborne In this role, you aren't just performing maintenance; you are the technical guardian of the H145 (BK117 D2/D3) fleet. Based directly at the Niederstetten military base, you will ensure the highest level of readiness for SAR missions. Certifying Staff CAT B2 / Avionics Inspector (m/f/d)

The CH-47 Aircraft Avionics/Electrical Mechanic AM-2 (FAA A&amp;P Or FCC) MWO performs repairs and troubleshoots aircraft systems and malfunctions of avionics, navigation, electrical, and communications systems. <ul> <li>A Valid (FAA) A&amp;P Certificate OR FCC License with Elements 1 and 3 is Required.</li> <li>With a Valid (FAA) A&amp;P Certificate; Two (2) years' aviation maintenance experience, With Two (2) years of hands-on Avionics Mechanic experience on the assigned MDS (Mission Design Series (CH47) is Required.</li> <li>US Citizenship is Required for travel to Germany, with a Valid US Passport to obtain the required US Govt Security Clearance.</li> <li>Install, remove, inspect, test, adjust, or repair avionics equipment, such as radar, radio, and navigation systems in aircraft.</li> <li>Installs and repairs electrical wiring and/or cable on aircraft in adherence to established specifications.</li> <li>Cuts and strips wire, insulates connections.</li> <li>Assemble components such as switches, electrical controls, and junction boxes, using hand tools and soldering irons.</li> <li>Safely prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks and services.</li> <li>Perform scheduled inspections and assist in performing special inspections.</li> <li>Perform limited maintenance operational checks and diagnoses and troubleshoots aircraft systems using special tools and test equipment as required.</li> <li>Use and perform operator maintenance on tools, special tools and aircraft ground support equipment.</li> </ul>Minimum Requirements: <ul> <li>High School Graduate or equivalent is required.</li> <li>Shall have Five (5) years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience.</li> <li>FAA A&amp;P or FCC Elements 1 and 3 Required.</li> <li>Must possess (FAA) A&amp;P Certificate with at least One (1) year of experience inspecting assigned Mission Design Series (MDS CH-47) aircraft.</li> <li>If No A&amp;P (FCC Elements 1 and 3 required); with the FCC License candidate have a minimum Five (5) years of experience as an Aircraft Inspector on the Mission Design Series (MDS CH-47) airframe they will be inspecting.</li> <li>If willing and able to obtain an FCC License, please discuss with your Recruiter.</li> <li>All experience must be within the Five (5) most recent years.</li> <li>Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorizationNAC-I T1 Public Trust. Note: US Citizenship is required for a facility credentials/authorization at the work location.</li> <li>Interim NACI approval required for deployment.</li> <li>Valid US Passport required for deployment to Germany and Greece.</li> <li>TESA Approval: (German Govt) Must be able to qualify for TESA approval; with 5 years career total Aviation maintenance experience.</li> <li>Travel: As required in support of task order.</li> </ul>Knowledge &amp; Skills <ul> <li>Possess good communication skills; be adaptable, diversified and capable of troubleshooting entire aircraft system.</li> <li>Working knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and associated systems principles to complete properly all probable work tasks.</li> <li>Knowledge of Quality Control, Production and Supply procedures required to perform job assignment.</li> <li>Able to determine when faulty systems or assemblies can be corrected through repair of replacement of new parts and the nature and extent of repair required.</li> <li>Must have skill in reading, applying, and interpreting technical data.</li> </ul>Physical Requirements/Working Environment <ul> <li>Must be able to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.</li> <li>Frequently lift parts and equipment up to 20 pounds.</li> <li>Occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds.</li> <li>Must be immediately deployable to potential combat areas worldwide.</li> </ul>Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
