In this role, you will provide specialist advice on aviation operations, conduct comprehensive safety audits, and oversee the delivery of aviation-related projects for our clients. Serving as the primary point of contact for aviation matters, you will ensure alignment with SGS standards while offering guidance grounded in regulatory frameworks and internationally recognised best practices. This opportunity offers flexible location options across Australia, with a preference for candidates based on the East Coast. Key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to: <ul><li>Planning and conducting aviation audits and assessing operator safety for SGS Aviation clients.</li><li>Providing technical and commercial aviation advice.</li><li>Preparing written audit and project reports with recommendations for the conduct and continuous improvement of client aviation activities.</li><li>Following-up and closing out issues raised in the course of their duties.</li><li>Maintaining professional contact and effective working relationships with clients.</li><li>Maintaining professional qualifications through company training and participation in SGS Aviation seminars where possible.</li><li>Discharging the administrative duties required for the efficient conduct of their position.</li></ul>Qualifications Candidates will be expected to demonstrate: <ul><li>Airline transport pilots license (for at least 8 years and accumulated over 2500 flight hours) with previous exposure to maintenance activities or Aircraft maintenance engineer license with previous exposure to operational areas.</li><li>Ideally,15 years' experience in the aviation industry including experience relevant to SGS Aviation's activities.</li><li>Successful completion of full Safety Management System training</li><li>Must have auditing experience and conducted 10 Aviation related audits within the last 4 years</li><li>Successful completion of a quality/safety (ISO approved) lead auditor course.</li><li>A solid understanding of CASA and ICAO regulations.</li><li>Experience in auditing aircraft operators (fixed or rotary wing), and inspecting aerodromes and offshore helidecks.</li><li>Advisors will on occasions be travelling offshore so a valid BOSIET training certificate will be required.</li><li>Holding BARS auditor qualifications/accreditation will be highly regarded.</li><li>RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems) experience is preferable</li></ul>Additional Information WHY WORK FOR SGS?
