HDR's Aviation team is growing and we are looking for that next great Engineer/PM to join the team! In the role of Aviation Engineer / Project Manager, we'll count on you to: <ul><li>Acting as a primary point of contact for airport related projects primarily in Nebraska/Iowa.</li><li>Supporting other regional markets and our military airfield program as needed.</li><li>Serving as the Client Manager for selected key clients within the area and be active and visible in the industry.</li><li>Participating and serving as a company role-model and technical leader within industry associations.</li><li>Developing and reviewing proposals and participating in interviews and client presentations as applicable.</li><li>Leading project teams involved with the production and coordination of several projects concurrently.</li><li>Establishing client relations and being involved with marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings.</li><li>Conducting design development and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with clients, stakeholders, project managers, subcontractors, appropriate technical professionals, and other disciplines.</li><li>Managing staffing and workload through the entire project's development to complete documents within the contracted budget and schedule requirements.</li><li>Responsible for implementing QA/QC procedures, and for the execution of training for personnel as established by strategic plans.</li><li>Monitoring projects for client-initiated changes and determining if changes require modification of contracts as needed for additional time or budget.</li><li>Supervising project staff members and act as a mentor for less experienced staff members.</li><li>Managing services during construction efforts on active construction projects including the review of submittals and RFIs as needed.</li><li>Serving as a subject matter expert on construction projects to assist in resolving unforeseen site conditions or other issues encountered during construction as needed.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications <ul><li>Master's degree</li><li>PMP certification</li><li>Familiarity with FAA Advisory Circulars and aviation design standards.</li><li>Familiarity with UFC and military design standards a plus.</li><li>Experience working in and leading multi-disciplinary teams.</li><li>Experience working on and leading large aviation projects.</li><li>Experience with asphalt and concrete pavements.</li><li>Demonstrated business development and strategic planning skills.</li><li>Good communication, leadership, planning and mentoring skills.</li><li>Local candidates preferred.</li></ul>*LI-BC Qualifications Required Qualifications <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering </li><li>7 years related experience</li><li>A minimum 2 years project management experience</li><li>Professional Engineer (PE) license</li><li>MS Office and MS Project experience is required (Access experience would be plus) </li><li>Demonstrated leadership skills</li><li>An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must</li></ul>What We Believe HDR is our company.
