About the role We are seeking a highly qualified academic professional with expertise in hybrid-electric propulsion, hydrogen-electric and hydrogen combustion systems, electrical machines, and power electronics, advanced electrical and hybrid for aerospace applications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding in at least one of the following areas thermofluids, turbomachinery interactions, sustainable propulsion design, electric drives, hybrid propulsion and the integration of innovative technologies through laboratory research to simulation system-level application and real-world deployment. You will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues within the department, across other departments within the Advanced Propulsion Lab (APL), and more broadly across UCL East. In this role, you will spearhead a cutting-edge research agenda in sustainable aerospace propulsion. This would include a focus on research into hybrid, electric, and e-fuel system solutions. You will build and lead an internationally recognised research portfolio, securing substantial funding from UKRI, ATI, industrial partners, and other funding bodies. Your work will result in high-impact disseminations and contribute significantly to UCL's REF strategy. Propulsion Manufacturing Manager

At Orbex we are looking for AIT Leader to oversee assembly, integration and test activities of our liquid propulsion systems. You will work closely with our in-house team of propulsion engineers, project management, quality and manufacturing to develop state-of-the-art engines and be part of Orbex' effort to our first launch. The Position Key responsibilities of the role: Team Management <ul><li>Manage people and the delivery of propulsion hardware (HW) within the time and budget and at the required quality level. Propulsion AIT Lead

Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run. Key Responsibilities As the intern in the Huracan Thrust Chamber Team, you will be directly involved in the development of our test benches for the cryogenic engine and its subsystems. Internship - Propulsion Test Development - Bordeaux

We are looking for an AIT Engineer - Propulsion Valves to support the development and industrialization of our gas and propellant valves, working in close collaboration with the design team. The role covers three key areas: <ul><li>Development of test benches (leak testing, endurance, dynamic performance, PID regulation).</li><li>Establishment of manufacturing and assembly routings (including inspection, passivation, cleanliness, and flight-quality justification).</li><li>Establishment of testing routings</li><li>Definition and execution of test plans for qualification and acceptance, in coordination with design team.</li><li>Participation in building development valves and first flight models.</li></ul>You will be responsible for building the end-to-end industrial flow for flight valves, in direct interface with the design team. Systems Verification Engineer, Integrated Flight and Propulsion Control System (IFPCS)

At NewOrbit Space, our mission is to engineer the lowest orbiting satellites on Earth to rapidly advance global connectivity and insight. We are currently building satellites that can operate at an altitude of just 200 km - one-third that of conventional satellites. Thanks to our propulsion system AURA, we can compensate for the atmospheric drag at ultra-low altitudes. Your Role You will be responsible for calculating, designing, testing, and optimizing the electric plasma propulsion system within our vacuum facilities.
