At Orbex we are looking for AIT Leader to oversee assembly, integration and test activities of our liquid propulsion systems. You will work closely with our in-house team of propulsion engineers, project management, quality and manufacturing to develop state-of-the-art engines and be part of Orbex' effort to our first launch. The Position Key responsibilities of the role: Team Management <ul><li>Manage people and the delivery of propulsion hardware (HW) within the time and budget and at the required quality level. Ensuring proper collaboration and handover of tasks for the projects that come through. </li><li>Support Design in design for assembly (DfA) reviews to optimise design for efficient, cost-effective, and high-reliability AIT results. We are looking for an AIT Engineer - Propulsion Valves to support the development and industrialization of our gas and propellant valves, working in close collaboration with the design team. The role covers three key areas: <ul><li>Development of test benches (leak testing, endurance, dynamic performance, PID regulation).</li><li>Establishment of manufacturing and assembly routings (including inspection, passivation, cleanliness, and flight-quality justification).</li><li>Establishment of testing routings</li><li>Definition and execution of test plans for qualification and acceptance, in coordination with design team.</li><li>Participation in building development valves and first flight models.</li></ul>You will be responsible for building the end-to-end industrial flow for flight valves, in direct interface with the design team. We are seeking an experienced and talented Propulsion System Models Principal Engineer, to lead the development, testing, and qualification of propulsion systems for our Nyx Earth, our cutting-edge orbital vehicle for cargo transportation to and from the ISS.
