Who We Are: The Tactical Aerospace Department provides world-class research, design, services, and support to the DOD market. We provide avionics and payload/mission equipment for airborne systems and solutions to legacy issues for the DoD industry, Allies, and U.S. Government. Objectives of this Role: <ul><li>Architect and design multi-partition, multi-DAL systems within a ARINC 653 environment.</li><li>Lead teams to develop complex microprocessor based avionics/mission/payload LRU's through the full development cycle (Requirements, design, integrate, V&amp;V, qualification, flight test, etc).</li></ul>Daily and Monthly Responsibilities: <ul><li>Collaboratively work with teams to develop avionics grade LRUs for airborne and ground systems.</li><li>These teams consist of core disciplines across Systems, Electrical, Software, Firmware, and Mechanical engineering.</li><li>Mentor, guide, and develop complex embedded systems. Development includes the full life cycle from requirements and architectures through V&amp;V and integration.</li><li>Support Department management in specific marketing activities, writing proposals, and developing product/technology roadmaps.</li><li>Interact directly with clients and company staff to establish requirements and architectures to meet client expectations.</li></ul>Requirements: <ul><li>Requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent engineering degree.</li><li>8+ years: Experience designing embedded architecture designs within a RTOS multi partition, multi criticality environment. Experience with RTOS (Green Hills or DDC-I DEOS) development environment as well as LDRA. Experience with C/C++.</li><li>2-5 years: Experience leading development and test engineering teams to meet program needs.</li><li>Experience with integrating software onto hardware and debugging within a lab environment utilizing equipment such as logic analyzers, power supplies, etc.</li><li>Experience with DO-178 processes and artifacts.</li><li>Experience with BSP and driver development including communication buses (ethernet, PCIe, 1553, etc).</li><li>Knowledge/experience with FACE interfaces preferred.</li><li>A valid/clear driver's license is required.</li></ul>Special Requirements: Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. LEAD ENGINEER - PRINCIPAL ENGINEER - Avionics OFP Architect within ARINC 653

Who We Are: The Spacecraft Development Department is a group of innovative engineers, program managers, and technicians developing unique spacecraft solutions for challenging space missions. We design and fabricate custom solutions to explore the boundaries of science or solve complex problems not yet delivered by industry to accommodate a variety of payloads. Objectives of this Role: <ul><li>Work in multidisciplinary project teams to design, analyze, and build cutting edge spacecraft to enable the next generation of spaceflight exploration.</li><li>Provide technical leadership for spacecraft electrical power subsystem development across the full program life cycle.</li><li>Interface with customers and support design reviews to justify design decisions.</li><li>Provide innovative technical solutions to design challenges.</li><li>Provide training and mentorship to lower career-level staff.</li></ul>Daily and Monthly Responsibilities: <ul><li>Develop electrical power subsystem requirements and verification planning.</li><li>Lead analyses necessary for the development of a spacecraft electrical power subsystem at unit and spacecraft levels.</li><li>Lead design and fabrication efforts for spacecraft electrical power subsystems.</li><li>Mentor junior engineers and develop best practices to aid development of spacecraft.</li><li>Develop technical reports for mission status and materials for internal and external reviews, tests hardware, propose and preform internal research to improve technology and establish competitive advantage.</li></ul>Requirements: <ul><li>Requires a Bachelors or a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering.</li><li>5+ years: Design experience required with demonstrated experience as a spacecraft subsystem lead.</li><li>Assembly, Integration and Test experience preferred.</li><li>Spacecraft or space system development experience for NASA, DoD, or commercial applications.</li><li>Demonstrated technical excellence through a variety of challenging assignments, work under moderate to minimal supervision, and demonstrated ability for having accountability for completing assignments.</li><li>A valid/clear driver's license is required.</li></ul>Special Requirements: Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
