We are currently looking for a highly experienced and disciplined Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical, Structures or Avionics) to join our team in Sydney, NSW. If you're a proactive, flexible and experienced professional with a drive to succeed, you're the type of person we would like to welcome onboard. Your role In this role, your key responsibilities will include: <ul> <li>Dismantling, inspecting, testing, repairing and reassembling aircraft engines, ancillary components, accessories, and electrical systems;</li> <li>Conducting routine pre-flight checks and inspections of engines and equipment;</li> <li>Maintaining thorough records of actions taken; </li> <li>Assembling components, parts and subassemblies of aircraft engines and equipment, and;</li> <li>Testing, maintaining, replacing, and upgrading aircraft safety equipment.</li> </ul> The essential requirements <ul> <li>2+ years experience on Dash 8 Q200, Q300 and Q400 aircraft (or similar type, e.g. turboprop aircraft);</li> <li>Trade Certificate IV (Mechanical), (Structures) or (Avionics);</li> <li>Highly skilled and competent in aircraft mechanical system troubleshooting, repair and installation of mechanical components.</li> <li>Strong team player;</li> <li>Ability to follow supervisory direction;</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;</li> <li>Consistent positive and proactive attitude;</li> <li>Passion for safe work practices;</li> <li>Valid work visa;</li> <li>Red ASIC card (or ability to obtain); and,</li> <li>Current Australian Driver's licence.</li> </ul> Shifts will be primarily a rotating shift roster that includes both day and night shift.
