UAS/CUAS Integration Engineer SME

UAS Residence Life is hiring Resident Advisors (RAs) for the 2025-2026 academic year to provide support for UAS Housing student residents and the guest housing program. Become a member of a community dedicated to academic achievement, learning, and personal growth. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds, visually identify individuals from a minimum of 10 feet away, and complete 30-minute campus rounds across various terrains, including stairs. Minimum Qualifications: At the time of hire, applicants must have applied for housing through the Department of Residence Life. Graduate Teaching Assistants are not eligible for RA positions due to time commitments. A commitment of one full academic year (or the remainder of such at the time of hire). Preference is given to applicants with a minimum of two semesters of community living experience prior to their term of employment. To be eligible for student employment, an applicant must: a. Be enrolled in the University of Alaska system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment; or b. The Flight Instructor will provide instruction in academics, flight simulators, and live flight operations to train personnel in the operation of the Gray Eagle UAS. In addition, performs as Instructor Operators in support of UAS Flight operations for the 2-13th Aviation Regiment on Ft. Huachuca. About the Position: The Writing Center (WC) is seeking student writing tutors to work with UAS students. The job requires solid writing skills and the ability to coach students through all stages of the writing process, though we do provide training with our "grow-a-tutor" model. Perfect writing is not required, but a strong foundation and a willingness to learn are. A student tutor position is a great opportunity to improve mentoring skills, learn about tutoring/teaching strategies, and gain professional work experience. Student tutors are also involved in special projects run by the Writing Center such as writing contests and the publication of the in-house academic journal, Summit. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis and filled as positions become available. While the WC is always thrilled to hire tutors with previous tutoring experience, this is not required. To get hired as a tutor, your basic writing skill set should be solid, but it doesn't have to be perfect! The Whalesong Media and Photography Lead will ensure Whalesong visuals, including photographs and videos for all written stories, podcasts, ads, and other information posted on the Whalesong website, social media, and print material distributed by Whalesong.
