The Royal Aeronautical Society's Careers team have put together a wealth of useful resources for individuals looking to pursue a career in the exciting industry of aerospace and aviation.

  • Careers in Aerospace Website houses the majority of the Society’s Careers and Education content. It's brought to you by Royal Aeronautical Society, supported by ADS Group & the UK Department for Transport. The website aims to to showcase the very best that the industry has to offer in order to attract and retain the best talent now and in the future. The website is truly independent and impartial, providing a complete view of aerospace and aviation pathways and related areas, such as defence and space.
  • Careers in Aerospace & Aviation LIVE
    Established in 2006, Careers in Aerospace & Aviation LIVE is the Royal Aeronautical Society’s annual recruitment event and the only UK fair dedicated to the aerospace and aviation community. It offers a unique opportunity to bring together RAeS strong industry partnerships with our thriving network of members - from students and graduates seeking apprenticeships and/or graduate employment, to experienced professionals looking to make their next career move.
  • On the pages of the main Society site you will find information about the RAeS outreach and employability programmes such as Cool Aeronautics, the Falcon 2 Programme, and Futures Scholarships.
  • In addition, the Careers Resources section aims to help those seeking employment in the industry. Guidance includes advice on soft skills, CVs and covering letters, online application forms, interviews and assessment centres. Our Self Assessment Portal provides free aptitude tests for engineering, flying, apprentice and flight analyst roles. There are also downloadable listings featuring aerospace and aviation employers by sector, undergraduate and postgraduate courses and useful links.
  • The free Careers Directory aims to provide all-year round information about the huge variety of employers, training providers and outreach organisations linked to aerospace and aviation. From airlines to manufacturers, from SMEs to business aviation operators, from defence to space, from universities to flight training schools, the directory is free for any organisation wishing to create a profile to promote their career opportunities, courses, training programmes or other support such as outreach and scholarships.
