The Role
- As an Airline account and Business development manager you will be responsible for all airline business relationships in the Mexican market as well as support for key airlines in the region.
- You are expected to sign local, regional, or global airline contracts with relevant airline partners.
- Together with our local product marketing team you will be responsible to grow the local Mexican l market sales through the Trip.com direct channel both through our website as well as our mobile APP.
- You will build trust and grow the Trip.com footprint in Mexico through active account management and will organize local market webinars, events etc.
- Participation in national and international tradeshows where relevant.
- You will lead the relationship with airlines who's head offices are based in Mexico and the region.
- You will work together with multiple internal teams to create long term growth in the local market.
- You are responsible for designing and executing on the short, mid and long term market strategy.
- The airline account and business development manager works actively on a daily basis to access the most competitive content available in the local market and works with partners on special promotions and creative sales initiatives.
- As a market leader you will report to the regional director providing market insight and offer recommendations on how to improve the business and achieve the Trip.com long-term goals and objectives.
To be considered for this position you will need to bring the following:
- 4-5 years of Travel Industry experience from airline/travel agency, distribution and/or sales and marketing.
- Knowledgeable of a wide variety of content and markets served from the LATAM region.
- Ability to analyse internal and external data to guide commercial decision-making
- Experience working with internal stakeholders to drive commercial objectives
- Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills in an international and multicultural environment.
- Experience developing and implementing initiatives to drive performance with key airline partners.
- Outstanding negotiation skills.
- Capable to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Results orientated and experience working to strict deadlines.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Spanish.
- Mexico based, willing to travel.
- Valid working permit/visa in Mexico (no sponsorship).
