The Role
Based at Jandakot in Western Australia, the Aviation Operations Officer plays a key role in the delivery of Omni's fixed wing operations. Working within the Fixed Wing Operations team, this position is responsible for the end-to-end coordination of flights, ensuring aircraft, crew, and logistics are aligned to meet client requirements safely, efficiently, and in accordance with regulatory standards.
The role works closely with pilots, aircrew, aviation leaders, service providers, and clients, coordinating flight planning, scheduling, ground handling, and domestic and international travel arrangements. The Aviation Operations Officer ensures aircraft readiness and oversees operational compliance across Australian and international regulatory environments.
Reporting to the Head of Flight Operations, the role is accountable for the effective execution of Omni's fixed wing flying program and for supporting consistent, reliable service delivery to clients.

Ideal Candidate
Omni is seeking an appropriately qualified aviation operations professional with current industry experience and a strong understanding of the regulatory landscape. The ideal candidate brings a balanced combination of formal qualifications and practical experience and is currently working within the general aviation sector.

You will demonstrate high levels of integrity and exercise confidentiality in the handling of sensitive information, reflecting Omni's values and ethical standards at all times.
You will hold Aviation Management qualifications (at diploma or bachelor's degree level) and possess well-developed communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and produce clear, accurate written material. Strong organisational and time-management skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and take accountability for meeting client and operational objectives in a dynamic environment.
A genuine commitment to safety, compliance, and ethical conduct, aligned with Omni's values, will be critical to succeeding in this role.

Essential requirements
The below key requirements are required:
  • Be an Australian Citizen
  • Hold a current Australian Government Security Clearance or be willing to obtain one (NV1 minimum)
  • Good understanding of the general aviation industry including regulatory compliance and safety protocols
  • Knowledge of flight planning, scheduling, crew coordination, ground handling, and international travel nuances
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance
  • Have excellent communication, liaison, and relationship building skills
  • Perform tasks with an emphasis on duty of care to self and other employees
In addition, it is desirable for this role:
  • Knowledge of air movement logistics, air freight, and dangerous goods regulations
  • Experience using flights operations applications such as Air Maestro and Foreflight
  • Understanding of resource allocation, financial forecasting, invoice management
  • Good MS Office skills
