Job Description
The Cyber Security Analyst, Aviation will contribute to the resilience and security of aviation systems, ensuring the organisation adheres to the highest standards of aviation cybersecurity. This role will work within and across a small unit ensuring they undertake analysis and evaluations to protect critical aviation infrastructure. The role will also promote a "Secure by Design" approach throughout the organisation and will work closely with aviation authorities to ensure compliance and the security of computer rooms and data centres.

Working Location
Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow. Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You'll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.

Responsibilities
- Cyber Security Oversight: Assess, monitor, and enhance the resilience of regulated aviation security systems to ensure they meet security requirements and compliance standards. • Regularly audit and verify security measures for aviation systems to ensure regulatory compliance. • Ensure the physical and cyber security of critical computer rooms, data centres, and related infrastructure within the aviation environment.
- Stakeholder Liaison & Collaboration: Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, external aviation authorities, and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment on security best practices and standards. • Act as a point of contact for any queries or concerns related to aviation cyber security. • Play an active and collaborative role in building cyber security resilience at Heathrow by working with internal and external stakeholders as part of a CNI threat intelligence community.
- Secure by Design: Champion "Secure by Design" principles across the organisation to ensure that security is integrated at all stages of system development and implementation. • Provide expertise to cross-functional teams on implementing security solutions that are scalable, sustainable, and compliant with aviation security standards.
- Risk Management & Incident Response: Contribute to the risk management process to identify potential threats to aviation security systems and proactively mitigate risks.
- Contribute, on a needs basis, to ensure the organisation is prepared for, and responsive to, any security incidents or breaches, minimizing potential disruption.
- Aviation Cyber Security Knowledge: Understanding of aviation security systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Security by Design: Proven experience in embedding security principles into system architecture and design processes
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to effectively communicate and work with internal teams, external vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Technical Proficiency: understanding of cyber security principles, risk management frameworks, and security technologies.
Desirable experience - Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in cyber security, ideally within the aviation industry , a regulated environment or Critical National Infrastructure.
- Previous experience in liaising with aviation authorities or other regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with industry standards.
