We're excited to announce multiple opportunities for Engineering Degree Apprenticeships!

If you've completed A-Levels or hold a Level 3 BTEC in Engineering and want to earn a degree while gaining hands-on experience on real-world projects-all while getting paid-this is the perfect next step for you.

Our degree apprenticeships typically take four years to complete. You'll spend one day per week at university (travel required to Swansea or Pontypridd) and the rest of your time working within our engineering teams on rotations.

We offer exciting opportunities across multiple engineering disciplines. If you're invited to our assessment day, you'll have the chance to choose the degree route that best suits your interests.

Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll rotate through key departments in manufacturing, engineering, and design-gaining hands-on experience and putting the theory you learn at university into practice. This will give you a complete understanding of how we take a concept and turn it into a finished product delivered to customers worldwide.

For 2026, we are offering the following routes:

Mechanical Engineering. This is all about designing, developing, and improving mechanical systems. This means working on complex structures and mechanisms that ensure safety, comfort, and performance. Mechanical engineers apply principles of physics, materials science, and manufacturing to create our premium and innovative products whilst meeting strict industry standards.

Electrical Engineering. This focuses on designing, testing, and improving electrical systems found within our seats. In this pathway, you'll work with circuits, sensors, and control systems to ensure products operate safely and efficiently and are air-worthy. You'll use logical thinking to diagnose issues, support testing, and help develop new electrical solutions.

After successfully completing your apprenticeship, you'll have the opportunity to apply for a full time position within the Engineering team of your specialism at Safran Seats.

But what else? (benefits, specificities, etc.)

Travel between Newport and Cwmbran Sites may be required

Candidate skills & requirements

Successful candidates should ideally have, or be on track to achieve:
• GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above
• Three A-Levels, including Maths and at least one Science subject at Grade C or above, OR
• A BTEC Level 3 at Merit or higher

If you haven't yet completed these qualifications, you may still receive a conditional offer, which will be confirmed once you provide evidence of achieving the required grades on results day.
