Position
The resource will be in charge of coordinating the Orbital GNC unit, leading a team of 3-4 people to design, validate and qualify GNC algorithms for orbital platforms and service modules.
In particular, the following technical activities fall within the role:

Technical Requirements
Master's degree in aerospace or aeronautical engineering
5+ years of experience in projects related to GNC design/validation for satellite systems/orbital platforms/navigation
Solid background across aerospace disciplines (orbital flight mechanics, GNC, propulsion, structures, thermal)
Knowledge of IT tools and software (MS Office package), Matlab/Simulink, and programming languages such as C and Fortran

Position
The resource will be in charge of coordinating the Orbital GNC unit, leading a team of 3-4 people to design, validate and qualify GNC algorithms for orbital platforms and service modules.
In particular, the following technical activities fall within the role:
- Derivation of GNC/AOCS specifications from high-level requirements
- R&D relating to algorithms in the field of control, pointing and navigation
- Writing/modifying SW prototypes
- Modeling of dynamics, disturbances and complex systems (6DOF models and multibody)
- Drafting validation plans for test campaigns, including Hardware-In-The-Loop test campaigns
- Verification of performance in closed and open loop
- Producing summary reports for:
- the progress of activities
- the compliance of the system with respect to high-level specifications
- Coordination of resources and planning of AOCS team activities
- Coordination with the different Technical Authorities across disciplines
- Interface with external teams, both institutional (ESA, ASI) and commercial (Subcos)
- Management of the formal flow of activities for the preparation of the different reviews
