The company is seeking a talented Remote Pilot to play a crucial role in the delivery of their state-of-the-art Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) operations.
The Role of the Remote Pilot
As a Remote Pilot, you will be responsible for monitoring flight operations, mitigating hazards, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. This is a dynamic role that will involve frequent travel to customer locations across the UK, Portugal, the US, and Europe, as well as a minimum of 3 days per week working in the South West of England.
Key Responsibilities of the Remote Pilot
  • Support the Remote Pilot In Command in the delivery of safe and compliant UAS operations
  • Ensure operations adhere to necessary regulations and maintain detailed records of flights, incidents, and safety assessments
  • Enforce adherence to company safety protocols and best practices
  • Assist UAS operators with flight planning, pre-flight inspections, and post-flight debriefings
  • Provide emergency response guidance in the event of system failures or unexpected hazards
  • Train and mentor UAS operators on best practices and risk mitigation strategies
Qualifications and Experience Required
To be successful as a Remote Pilot, you will need a strong aviation background, including Ground School and live flying experience on various aircraft types. Additionally, you should possess the following:
  • A1 and A3 certificates (CAA/EASA)
  • Pilot License (LAPL/PPL/HPL)
  • A2 Certificate of Competence
  • Engineering License
  • MALE/HALE UAS Platform Certification
  • MUAS Certification (Puma/DH3/Raven/Stalker)
  • Flight Radiotelephony Operating License
  • Experience in military flying, instructional duties, or overseas operational flying
  • Eligibility to hold SC clearance and willingness to undergo the vetting process
