Do you have experience in aviation Design (DO) or Production organisations (PO)? Are you familiar with Design Codes and Certification processes within aviation and do you have working knowledge of Part 21 and ICAO Annex 8? Do you want to work for a leading Aviation Safety Training and Consultancy Services provider on a remote (with national and international travel) basis as a subject matter expert in Initial Airworthiness?

If so, look no further, as we are looking for a Senior Trainer / Consultant to join us on a permanent basis.

You will be responsible for making a difference to Baines Simmons customers across the Consulting, Training and Managed Services proposition. The role is pivotal to strategy delivery, continuous improvement of the portfolio and exploitation of SMARRT MAP™ as part of the Baines Simmons proposition, products and services. Senior Consultants also programme and project manage large pieces of work.

What we are looking for:

• Experience with the practical application of Part 21 as a Design Engineer / CVE (DO) or Manager / Production Team Leader / Certifying Staff (PO)

• Working knowledge of Part 21 and ICAO Annex 8, including Management System knowledge

• Confidence to develop the skills to deliver training on Part 21 subjects

• An ability to clearly explain DOA / POA roles and responsibilities

• An ability to create model content for DOE / DOH / POE documents

• An understanding of UK CAA, EASA, UK MAA, and EMAR 21J principles

• An appetite to deliver DOA (Part 21J) / POA (Part 21G) training courses and improve content

• An ability to present at conferences and working groups, and drive thought leadership

• An aptitude to author Case Studies, Blogs, and Business Cases

• An aptitude to supports marketing campaigns and contributes to consulting sales

• An ability to lead collaborative working, minimising errors, and ensuring resource efficiency

• Experience dealing with regulators in relation to TC / STC

• Ethos and methodology of “design for certification” or “produce for conformance”

• For DO: strong grasp and application of Design Codes, Certification, special conditions, SAE ARP 4754A

Salary of £65,000 to £75,000 with a £6,000 annual car allowance paid monthly.
