About us:
Within Airbus Defence and Space, Digital Payload is responsible for sub-systems and equipment for Communications Satellites and within Digital Payload sits the Antenna Delivery team.
The Antenna Delivery team is responsible for the Project and Programme Management of multi-million pound projects.
This team is made up of Project Management, Operation and Project Management Office (PMO) professionals, leading Multi Disciplined project teams. The team is responsible for Project Managing all aspects of an Antenna Programme including Schedule, Risks and Opportunities and Costs.
Within a Project team, aspects from design, qualification, production, testing and delivery to exacting customer and induction requirements and standards are carried out, with the delivery team central to this.
Our projects contribute to the functionality and performance of Telecommunications satellites worldwide, allow people to connect globally and provide support to on ground services internationally.
Based in Stevenage, you will join a transnational team working with colleagues from around the UK and Europe as part of the delivery team and wider Digital Payload Group.
What you will be doing:
You will join a Project Delivery Team that leads and manages multi-disciplined, integrated project teams in the design and manufacture of Spacecraft Antenna products and systems.
You will support the Project Management Team with the delivery of Antenna projects, ensuring they are on-time, on-cost, and on-quality. Your responsibilities will include:

- Co-ordinate and control project planning and execution, including effective management of programme scope, quality, time, cost, resources, communication, risk & opportunity, and supply chain;
- Prepare for reviews and meetings with the external customers;
- You will work on Antenna projects up to and exceeding €20M in value;
- Use of a laptop, knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Google Suite;
- You will develop knowledge of project management principles;
- Preparation of presentations, communications and team work.

- Studying towards a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautics Engineering, Physics, Business or equivalent;
- Interest in Engineering, Aerospace and Space;
- Experience with engineering projects either in university or in a work experience setting;
- Teamwork, communication and stakeholder management skills.
