Highlights of the role:
Telespazio is seeking space industry professionals to join the Moonlight team - a pioneering ESA program aiming to establish the first-ever Lunar Communications and Navigation Services (LCNS). LCNS services will be delivered though a constellation of satellites orbiting around the moon and they will support the future growth of lunar economy, from moon landers to human lunar exploration and colonization. Moonlight is an ambitious, end-to-end program covering all mission phases: from early market analysis and system design to launch, operations, and service delivery. The project spans every mission segment, including satellite platforms, payloads, ground segment, launch services, and user terminals. As the prime contractor, Telespazio leads a multinational consortium of top-tier space companies, collaborating closely with the European Space Agency (ESA) to bring this complex and visionary mission to life.

As part of this professional's family, Telespazio is looking for a Satellite Communication & Payload Specialist.
Activities/Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate technical tasks related to the design, development, and qualification of the Communications satellite;
- Supervise the AIT (Assembly, Integration & Testing) processes from early design phases to final verification and launch readiness;
- Oversee system-level integration and verification at subcontractors' premises;
- Drive the design and development of GSEs and test beds to support AIT for satellites and subsystems;
- Review, validate, and approve technical documentation in line with ESA and ECSS standards;
- Ensure technical alignment across interfaces and system segments (internal & external);
- Revision and acceptance of the technical documentations according to applicable standards.
- 5+ years in satellite platform and payload engineering;
- Proven experience in satellite AIT activities, including environmental and launch campaigns;
- In-depth knowledge of satellite subsystems, architectures, and interface management;
- Strong understanding of end-to-end satellite systems and verification methodologies;
- Familiarity with requirements engineering and configuration management tools;
- Fluent in English (spoken and written);
- Willingness to travel within Europe.
- Practical experience with ECSS standards and ESA missions;
- Exposure to large-scale space system integration;
- Background in communications payload design and qualification.
