Highlights of the role:
Telespazio is seeking space industry professionals to join the Moonlight team. Moonlight is ESA pioneer program to develop a world-first mission aimed to offer Lunar Communications and Navigation Services (LCNS) on the moon. LCNS services will be delivered though a constellation of satellites orbiting around the moon and they will support the future growth of lunar economy, from moon landers to human lunar exploration and colonization. Moonlight project is extremely challenging, and it will cover all phases from market study and system design to launch, operations and service provision. It spans across all segment of the mission including satellite platforms, payloads, ground segment, launch and user terminals. Telespazio is leading a multi-national consortium of top-ranked space companies in order to deliver such complex mission together with the European Space Agency. As part pf this professional's family, Telespazio is looking for a SAT Specialist with a particular focus on Communication satellite and payload as subcontractor interface responsible for the whole coordination of Communication Satellite design, assembly and qualification.
Activities/Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the technical project tasks for the design, development and qualification of COM satellite, with the objective to guarantee that the activities are performed in compliance with the Project requirements and objectives and within the budget and schedule constraints.
Supervision of the AIT process and verification of test concepts for the e2e satellite from early design phases until system level verification campaigns, including environmental and launch campaigns. Supervision and contribution to satellite system level integration and verification activities at Subcos premises Supervision and contribution to design and dev of GSEs and Test bed to support AIT for satellite and/or subsystem units.
Revision and acceptance of the technical documentations according to applicable standards
Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications / Experience
At least 5 years of professional experience as satellite platform and payload specialist
Experience in satellite system verification and test activities
Essential Skills
E2E design and development of satellite systems
Excellent knowledge of satellite subsystems design and development
Proven Experience in large satellite system AIT activities
Knowledge and familiarity of Satellite interfaces (internal and external) harmonization and compatibility verification
Good knowledge of requirements engineering and management practices and tools
Fluency in spoken and written English
Desirable Skills:
Knowledge in E2E design and development of satellite systems.
Relevant experience and good knowledge of practically applying engineering standards (e.g. ECSS)
Qualities:
Strong focus on reaching progress by thinking and communicating in terms of solutions, and the ability of reaching goals under schedule pressure
Excellent communication skill
Ability to work in international and multi-disciplinary teams Available to frequent business travels in Europe Execution effectiveness and continuity
