About the Role:

Aeropeople is supporting a leading aviation organisation with the recruitment of Aircraft Painters and Preppers - from entry-level candidates through to experienced professionals - for long-term opportunities across Europe, with both immediate and future start dates available.

We are interested in speaking with both experienced aircraft painters and candidates from relevant painting backgrounds who are looking to begin or develop a career within the aviation industry.

Candidates with experience in automotive, industrial, commercial, aerospace or other professional painting environments are welcome to apply.

For less experienced candidates, this is an excellent opportunity to enter the aviation sector and develop specialist aircraft painting skills. Full training, mentorship and on-the-job support will be provided, with clear development opportunities from Prepper level into Aircraft Painter and further career progression over time.

You will work in a professional aircraft maintenance and production environment, carrying out surface preparation, masking, sanding, cleaning, priming and painting activities in line with required quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare aircraft surfaces prior to painting
  • Carry out masking, sanding, cleaning and washing activities
  • Prepare surfaces for primer and topcoat application
  • Apply primer and paint where trained and authorised
  • Support aircraft painting and finishing activities
  • Set up and use scaffolding and access equipment safely
  • Use hand tools and painting equipment correctly
  • Maintain tools, equipment and working areas
  • Ensure all work meets required quality standards
  • Follow technical instructions and production procedures
  • Comply with health, safety and environmental requirements
  • Work effectively as part of a production team
What We're Looking For:
  • Previous aircraft painting experience is desirable but not essential for all positions
  • Painting or preparation experience from automotive, industrial, commercial or similar environments would be advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Good practical and manual skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures
