What You'll Do: The Senior Flight Dynamics Mission Analyst (MA) will act as a cornerstone of the Mission Analysis function within the integrated Flight Dynamics (FD) team at Eutelsat Group. This team operates in a matrix-style organization, spanning three technical verticals: Software, Mission Analysis, and Operations Engineering. This role reports to the Flight Dynamics &amp; Mission Analysis Senior Manager and collaborates closely with FD peers across GEO and LEO programs to enable synergies in design, planning, and operations. Your responsibilities will include: Mission Analysis Leadership <ul><li>Perform full mission lifecycle analysis from launch to de-orbit, including:<ul><li>Launch Window Analysis</li><li>Maneuver Planning and Performance Analysis</li><li>Trajectory Design and Optimization</li><li>Orbit Determination</li><li>Constellation Analysis</li><li>Perturbation and Error Analysis</li><li>Conjunction Assessment, Collision Avoidance and Space Traffic Management</li></ul></li><li>Lead and contribute to constellation-level optimization initiatives to maximize mission uptime, efficiency and fuel life.</li><li>Drive development and validation of mission analysis algorithms and tools supporting LEO and GEO operations and engineering.</li><li>Participate in and provide mission analysis expertise during the design, engineering, and procurement activities for current and future Eutelsat Group systems, ensuring seamless integration into Eutelsat Group's GEO-LEO architecture.</li><li>Support system readiness, planning, preparation, execution, and evaluation for all phases of spacecraft lifetime: from launch to mission to de-orbit.</li><li>Mentor, support, and provide guidance to junior Flight Dynamics Engineers and Mission Analysts, fostering technical growth and excellence across the FD team.</li></ul>Systems Development &amp; Automation <ul><li>Support Flight Dynamics System (FDS) development and validation, including automation of mission analysis processes.</li><li>Contribute to requirements development, verification, and interface control documentation.</li><li>Write and maintain engineering specifications, technical reports, and CONOPS documentation.</li></ul>Operations Support <ul><li>Provide expert-level support during nominal operations and critical events (e.g., off-nominal maneuver sequences, launches, anomaly resolution).</li></ul>What It Takes: <ul><li>MS or PhD in Aerospace Engineering or related field.</li><li>10+ years of experience in spacecraft astrodynamics including orbit determination, maneuver planning, trajectory design.</li><li>Strong expertise in perturbation and error analysis, and numerical optimization techniques.</li><li>Experience with mission analysis tools and standard astrodynamics software packages: OREKIT, GMAT, STK, SPICE, others.</li><li>Proficiency with Python and/or Java.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work proactively, independently and in a matrixed organization.</li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills.</li></ul>Don't meet every single requirement? Senior Flight Dynamics Mission Analyst

Aerodynamics Engineer - Undergraduate Placement 2025 Salary: £23,495 (pro rata) Location: Bristol Working pattern: Where possible, we will seek to accommodate a blended approach to on-site and remote working, but this will depend on project requirements and the need for access to specific site facilities. The aerodynamics department at MBDA works on the entire MBDA UK portfolio of products, from concept phase through to in-service support. As a key player in the UK defence industry, we are able to provide outstanding opportunities across a wide range of applications. Receive mentorship and support from our team of aerodynamicists to learn to use cutting-edge aerodynamic techniques; designing the missiles of the future.
