Responsibilities

Reporting to Division Management with matrix reporting across a key global carbon value stream, the Plant Manager will be accountable for operations across a specialized aerospace carbon brake manufacturing facility to achieve results identified by the division's goals and objectives. Responsible for leading a team of empowered employees to ensure a safe and successful work environment. Provide guidance and model the implementation of Parker Lean Systems and the Win Strategy to; engage our team members, maximize profitable growth, drive quality improvements, provide premier customer service, and reduce inventory & process lead times.

Your responsibilities:
  • Lead overall plant operations
    Take full responsibility for day-to-day site operations, ensuring manufacturing plans are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Drive strategic growth and continuous improvement
    Lead site development in line with future-state plans, supporting business growth through strategic planning, investment initiatives, and Lean-based operational improvement including large scale investment projects and new process integration for the site.
  • Champion Health, Safety, Environmental and compliance standards
    Ensure full compliance with all HSE, regulatory, and maintenance requirements, while proactively improving environmental performance and promoting a safe working culture.
  • Develop people and site culture
    Build a high-performing, engaged workforce through effective recruitment, performance management, coaching, training, succession planning, and clear communication across the site.
  • Improve operational performance and cost efficiency
    Define and implement effective processes, manage budgets, improve labour efficiency, control inventory, and deliver cost-reduction initiatives to enhance profitability.
  • Drive quality and customer delivery excellence
    Lead production planning, on-time delivery, quality improvement, and cross-functional problem-solving to reduce scrap, warranty issues, and external quality concerns while exceeding customer expectations.
Who we are looking for
  • Degree level education preferred or relevant manufacturing management experience requirement.
  • 5-8 years' experience in industrial operations and leadership. Ideally cross functional experience in business and operational processes
  • Skilled/knowledgeable in various manufacturing processes CNC programming, machining, antioxidant protection, assembly, high temperature furnace operations & chemical/gas processing methods.
  • Excellent working knowledge lean systems, tools and practices
  • Software: All Microsoft Office applications and ERP/MRP experience
  • A hands on team player with the ability to positively influence others.
