Job Description Job Summary: The Project Procurement Engineer will lead procurement activities for the Te2v Space Imaging division. They contribute to the successful delivery of ESA, NASA and Commercial space missions, procuring cutting edge technologies, used in space satellites. The role sits within a dynamic delivery team who collaborate to overcome complex technical and commercial challenges in pursuit of delivering world class products. Ensuring that procurement is evaluated, efficient, cost effective and aligned to operational need. Detailed Description: <ul><li>Deliver direct procurement activities in collaboration with Space Imaging Programmes, Projects and Production Teams.</li><li>Utilise as appropriate subcontracts, supply contracts, quantity contracts and purchase orders to align supplier deliverables with Space Imaging requirements.</li><li>Maintain E2V's business system to ensure tactical communication &amp; control of supplier deliverables, i.e P2P and S2P systems</li><li>Control and deliver the sourcing strategy for a selected group of technical materials/commodities ensuring near and forward operational alignment for Space Imaging</li><li>Actively manage Space Imaging's supplier portfolio inclusive of Identifying, benchmarking and selecting new suppliers to deliver your sourcing strategy.</li><li>Optimise the supplier base to leverage optimal cost/supply for Space Imaging</li><li>Deploy engineering best practice techniques to ensure that components are designed to optimise their manufacturing ease through out the entire Supply Chain</li><li>Establish collaborative relationships that deliver an effective and efficient service to internal/external customers and suppliers.</li><li>Facilitate resolution to supplier quality, serviceability, and performance related issues quickly to avoid repetition of issues.</li><li>Utilise Relationships, Market Intelligence and Value Engineering actions to achieve a competitive differentiator.</li><li>Manage supplier performance and quality using appropriate KPI's and development plans.</li></ul>Requirements: <ul><li>Ability to positively collaborate with stakeholders in ambiguous, complex programme management environments.</li><li>Demonstrable experience of evolving, negotiating and agreeing contractual requirements and collaboration frameworks between internal stakeholders and suppliers.</li><li>Preferably knowledge and experience of Space Imaging technology, including CMOS &amp; CCD sensors, wafer processing, communication systems, complex electronics, vacuum technology and metal components.</li><li>Experience of working within a demanding, low volume, highly complex, high value project environment. Space Imaging Project Procurement Engineer

As part of our continued support to a major customer in the space industry, we are looking for a Quality Inspector to ensure the conformity of satellite components to customer requirements and support quality assurance efforts in our client's facility. This role involves conducting quality inspections, monitoring cleanliness and contamination standards, and ensuring on-time, on-cost delivery with a "right first time" approach for electrical and electronic components. The role will be based on-site at the customer's facility in Portsmouth. This is a contract position that has been deemed as inside IR35, the rate will be dependent on experience, seniority etc. however a permanent role can be discussed if preferred. Responsibilities <ul><li>Ensure conformity of production and test operations within the Cleanroom in accordance with Plans, Processes and Procedures for Space Equipment production, to approved quality standards in particular ECSS-Q-ST-70-08, ECSS-Q-ST-70-28 &amp; ECSS-Q-ST-70-38 or latest ECSS-Q-ST-70-61</li><li>Perform design and integrity verification inspections on Flight Hardware and Test set-up in accordance with the clients inspection criteria in addition to ECSS-Q-ST-70-08, 28 &amp; 38 or latest ECSS-Q-ST-70-61 to ensure that the build complies with established design and quality rules. </li><li>Responsible and accountable for the correct "as built as design" validation</li><li>Responsible for the environmental and H&amp;S control of assembly, integration &amp; test activities in accordance with the appropriate standards.</li><li>Flexible approach to working methods and patterns.
